Kim Ray Workshop & Social with Kim & live music from The Outrageous Glenn Rogers

On Saturday 11th October 2008, Kim Ray, who won two Linedancer Magazine Crystal Boot Awards this year as 'Rising Star' and also for Beginner Dance Of The Year with 'Lemon Tree' will be with the Tulsa Shuffle Line Dance Club as our guest Choreogrpaher & Instructor for an afternoon workshop session and also for our October 2008 Party Night the same evening (Flyer)
The door will open at 1·30pm, ready for a start at 2pm. The event will finish at 11pm.
The exact times that Kim will be teaching have yet to be finalised, but it's expected to be around 2·30 to 2·45. The afternoon workshop will finish at around 5·30, with any visiting choreographers, or indeed anyone bold enough to have a go themselves, giving dance demos.
There will then be a break until the start of the Line Dance Evening Social at 7·30, which will take the form of 2 live music sets from the one and only Outrageous Glenn Rogers, one of the top linedance musicians/entertainers in the country, which will be sandwiched with requests (played by me) and dance revisions from Kim, who will remain with us for the evening
There are a number of eateries/takeaways & hostelries in the local area - menus and directions will be available on the day - takeaways (Indian & Chinese) can be ordered and delivered to the hall.
If you'd like to bring along any music you'd like to dance to that is hard to get or that you think I may not have it would obviously improve the chances of your dance requests getting played.
The venue is : St James Church Hall, Elmsleigh Drive, Leigh-On-Sea. ESSEX. SS9 3DP (directions). The hall has recently been refurbished and has its own car park and, as it's a Church Hall, it also has kitchen facilities. There are a number of pubs and restaurants nearby to suit most tastes
